California Nurses March on Sacramento to Clean Up Politics - 05/08/2006
More than 700 registered nurses from across California – and around the nation – joined an exciting three conference hosted by the California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee in early May in Sacramento. RNs discussed campaigns to step up the campaign for Medicare for All in California and Washington, and rallied for a landmark reform, the California Clean Money and Fair Elections Act, which would establish public financing for candidates who reject private fundraising and tough limits on campaign contributions to other candidates and election committees. For more on these campaigns, read the press release or visit the Clean Money website.
